Card replacement & BIN

What a BIN is, what happens when a card is replaced, and why your balance is safe through a replacement.

What happens if I choose to order another card?

If you voluntarily create a new or additional Primcard, it is treated as a new card issuance.

The standard 50 USDT issuance fee applies, together with the applicable top-up fee and minimum first load.

What happens if Primcard has to replace my card?

From time to time, a card may need to be replaced or migrated because of a change involving the underlying BIN, issuing arrangement or card programme.

If Primcard requires the replacement, you will not be charged another 50 USDT card issuance fee for the required replacement card.

What is a BIN?

A BIN is part of the payment-card infrastructure used to identify the card programme and route card transactions through the appropriate payment and issuing systems.

Should I be worried if the BIN changes?

No. BINs, issuing arrangements and card programmes can occasionally change.

If a change affects your Primcard, we will provide instructions through your account and guide you through the required card migration.

You will not be charged another issuance fee simply because Primcard requires your existing card to be replaced.

Will my card details change if my card is replaced?

They may.

A replacement resulting from a BIN, issuer or card-programme change can result in a new card number, expiry date and CVV.

If this happens, you may need to update your card details with merchants, subscriptions, Apple Pay, Google Pay or anywhere else you previously saved the old card.

Will I lose the money on my card if it is replaced?

A required card replacement does not by itself mean that your funds are lost.

If a migration is required, Primcard will provide instructions regarding your existing card and any remaining card balance.
